Drew's High School Graduation!

Drew graduated high school Thursday night! We're all SO proud of him! He is headed to college in Springfield in the fall.

Bella & Desi's First Sleepover!

Bella & Desi had their first sleepover together on Wednesday night! They loved being curled up in their sleeping bags & giggling before bed time. They were too cute!

Meeting Jen Lancaster

I finally got to meet one of my favorite authors ever, Jen Lancaster. On Thursday, she came to the Mad Art gallery for a reading & signing of her new book. Elizabeth & I made a day of it & went shopping before the signing.

She was just as hilarious in person & she is in her books. We had a great time!

Shelby's 2nd Home-versary

We've had Shelby for 2 YEARS today! We got her when she was about 5 weeks old.


The day we got her! She was so tiny!


Shelby now! She sure has grown!



We're convinced she's the best dog ever. She's always there to cuddle or give nose kisses, & with her adventurous (ie. obsession with running away) personality, she keeps us on our toes!

Fun Marshmallow Bars

I made these tasty treats for Mother's Day/Harvey's birthday last weekend. We were at the winery & I thought cake would be too messy & hard to eat outside (plus, icing melts!) I still wanted him to have something cake-like though, so I whipped these up! They were super rich & everyone enjoyed them!

Ingredients:
1 package Devil's Food cake mix (do NOT prepare like regular cake mix!)
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup water
1 egg
3 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup M&Ms

Directions:
-Combine cake mix, butter, water & egg.
-Press into a greasted 13x9 pan.
-Bake at 375* for 20-22 minutes. Take it out.
-Sprinkle with marshmallows & M&Ms.
-Bake 2-3 minutes longer.

Super easy! I was able to whip it up at 10PM the night before. & it seems like everyone liked it since it ended up looking like this:

Mother's Day fun at the Winery!

We all had a GREAT Mother's Day this year! We celebrated at Balducci's with their fantastic wine & yummy pizza (& chocolate covered strawberries, of course!)
